Dry Ice Blasting

Moran Environmental Recovery, LLC (MER) is one of a handful of companies that provides dry ice blasting services. Dry Ice Blasting (or CO₂ blasting) is a cleaning method that is non-destructive and minimizes waste production. Dry ice pellets are fired at the surface to be cleaned under air power. When the pellet hits the surface both the force of the pellet going through sublimation as it turns from a solid to a gas and the force of the impact create the cleaning power to complete a multitude of different projects. Upon completion of the project, the dry ice changes from carbon dioxide solid to carbon dioxide gas leaving very little disposal and little or no residue.
